We heard your requests for a knife skills class, so we’re excited to deliver this workshop to get you ready for one of the busiest times of year for cooking!

In this in-person workshop our chef will guide you through the fundamentals of knife care, cleaning, safety and tips to cut down on time in the kitchen! We’ll teach you pro tricks for some of the most popular knife techniques through guided hands-on practice with the seasonal vegetables that we’ll provide. What could be a more delicious way to eat fresh veggies than topped with herbs, wrapped up in delicate rice paper, and dunked in velvety peanut sauce?  In this in-person workshop, our chef will take you through every step of making Summer Rolls and they will become your go-to appetizer, lunch, or light dinner this season.  Our Summer Rolls (also called Fresh Spring Rolls) are inspired by the Vietnamese dish Goi Cuon.

Celebrate Pi Day with us as we make pie for dinner! Join us for this virtual workshop and learn how to make savory hand pies featuring our take on a classic chicken pot pie. Hand pies are the perfect way to utilize what’s already in your refrigerator or, better yet, your freezer!

In this virtual workshop, we will make a pie crust together using your food processor. No food processor? No worries! We’ll show you how to make this easy pie crust with just your hands. We will also demonstrate a great hack for creating flaky pie crust layers that resemble those of a puff pastry. Or if you already have puff pastry in your freezer, go ahead and free up some space and use it for our delicious chicken filling recipe!

What’s the secret to being able to whip up quick weeknight meals? Great knife skills, of course! In this virtual workshop, our chef will cover all the knife basics from how to hold and care for your knife to how to properly chop and prep various ingredients from onions and tough root vegetables to greens and herbs. The workshop will leave you with all the prepped ingredients to make a cozy Minestrone Soup and Herby Garlic Bread. If you are looking to up your cooking skills, you won’t want to miss this workshop!

After registration, you’ll get the shopping list, equipment list, recipe, and any prep ahead steps (Note: this workshop does not require a kit pickup and can be taken from anywhere.) For this workshop, you’ll want to have all of your ingredients and equipment set before the start, but we’ll do every step together. Join us in recreating one of our favorite Italian-American restaurant dishes: Rigatoni with Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce! In this virtual workshop, you’ll learn how to use your blender to make this smooth, creamy sauce as well as tips for cooking and storing pasta to get the best texture. We’ll also whip up a bright lemon vinaigrette to serve with a side salad to balance out the meal.

Join us for a virtual workshop on our newest favorite pastry: Swedish Cardamom Buns! We’ll start with a rich yet light and tender dough speckled with cardamom, layer it with a cardamom-sugar butter, and finally twist into beautiful knots before baking. These are perfect for a Swedish-style Fika coffee break, for brunch, or for treating your family and friends all year round.

Note: If you want to shape the cardamom buns with our chef live, you’ll want to make the dough 1 hour before the class according to the recipe you’ll receive in your Prep Packet (it’s easy!) You can also make it the night before and refrigerate. Bring the dough to room temperature before the class starts (you can also make the dough during the class, you’ll just need to wait an hour before shaping the buns.)

Get a healthy dinner on the table fast by learning how to make tasty salmon burgers in this virtual workshop! Using fresh salmon and some simple seasonings, we’ll put together salmon burgers from scratch, perfect for a weeknight meal or even for making in batches to freeze. You’ll also learn our chef’s recipe for easy, crispy green bean fries in the oven or air fryer.

If you are curious about other healthy and fast meal prepping ideas, our chef will also share some pro tips on air frying using the Whirlpool® Smart Wall Ovens with air fry technology. You don’t need an air fryer to join though – you’ll be able to cook the recipes on a standard cooktop or oven as well.

Homemade Bagels

Learn to make your own bagels from scratch at home! Homemade bagels will take breakfast or weekend brunch to the next level, and they can also be frozen and toasted fresh anytime you want one. In this virtual demo, our chef will show you how to make bagel dough, how to shape and boil bagels, and finally how to top them with seasonings and bake. We’ll show you the ins and outs of using the KitchenAid Stand Mixer to make pro dough, but you’ll also be able to complete the recipe by hand.

After registration, you’ll receive the recipe and shopping list. You can make the bagel dough along with our chef but it will need to rise for 1 hour. While it rises, our chef will take you through the rest of the steps so that you’ll know exactly what to do when your dough is ready. The dough can also be refrigerated and used the next day.
