It’s the holiday season and that means one thing at the World of WhIrlpool: Chef Alia’s signature Ginger Molasses Spice Cookies! In this virtual workshop, learn how to make these chewy, spice cookies that are sure to become a perennial favorite in your home too. You’ll learn tips on how to make foolproof cookies from best practices on creaming butter and sugar, measuring dry ingredients, and working with spices. Learn our insider tips on using your KitchenAid Stand Mixer or Hand Mixer this holiday season as well.
After registration, you’ll get the shopping list, equipment list, recipe, and any prep ahead steps. (Note: this workshop does not require a kit pickup and can be taken from anywhere.) For this workshop, you’ll want to have all your ingredients and equipment set before the start, but we’ll do every step together. You can bake your cookies immediately or refrigerate the dough and bake them later if you prefer.

Join us in recreating one of our favorite Italian-American restaurant dishes: Rigatoni with Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce! In this virtual workshop, you’ll learn how to use your blender to make this smooth, creamy sauce as well as tips for cooking and storing pasta to get the best texture. We’ll also whip up a bright lemon vinaigrette to serve with a side salad to balance out the meal.

Plus, our chef will show you how you can make your own rigatoni pasta in the future using the Pasta Press attachment powered by the KitchenAid Stand Mixer. We can’t wait to see you for this weeknight pasta night adventure.

Learn to make your own bagels from scratch at home! Homemade bagels will take breakfast or weekend brunch to the next level, and they can also be frozen and toasted fresh anytime you want one. In this Virtual Demo, our Chef will show you how to make bagel dough, how to shape and boil bagels, and finally how to top them with seasonings and bake. We’ll show you the ins and outs of using the KitchenAid Stand Mixer to make pro dough, but you’ll also be able to complete the recipe by hand.

While our Cook-Along Workshops with Kits are only available locally, our Virtual Demos are available anywhere! After registration, you’ll get the recipe and shopping list. You can make the bagel dough along with our chef but it will need to rise for 1 hour. While it rises, our chef will take you through the rest of the steps so that you’ll know exactly what to do when your dough is ready. The dough can also be refrigerated and used the next day.

Join us and learn how to make dinner in a snap with limited ingredients and clean up.  When time is short and ingredients are limited, you can still create a dish that is nothing short of delicious with just five ingredients or less. 

In this virtual workshop, we are showing that cozy, simmered soups and stews don’t need to be complicated!  Learn how to make 2 delicious cold-weather dishes with only 5 ingredients each!  We’ll start off by making a simple chili Bison and Squash Chili that requires very little prep work but is big on flavor.  While that simmers away, we’ll get started on Avgolemono Soup, a classic creamy Greek soup that includes lemon, chicken broth, and rice.  

You’ll finish up the class with two hearty soups: one that you can have for dinner and the other that you can save or even freeze for another day.  Plus, as a bonus, our chef will share her recipe for 5-ingredient Dinner Biscuits that can be mixed and baked in a muffin tin.  We think you’ll be craving these simple dishes all fall and winter long!
